About the Photographer

Hello there! My name is Monique. I was born in the United States, and I grew up in central Florida the sunshine state. As a child I came across a National Geographic magazine. The picture quality was so captivating I was able to feel and imagine a story behind the eyes of each person and animal I saw within each turning page. That’s the day I told myself “I wanted to capture moments like that when I grow up”. I have always been a creative individual since I was young either through drawing or painting. Painting is my second passion. I have many interests in the creative art field. Therefore, I decided to get a formal education in Visual Fine Arts as well as in Photography & Media through Northern Virginia Community College. For the last 6 years photography has been my career.

 

I'm a published photographer and international artist who specializes in creative portraiture but I am not limited to only creative portraits. I also enjoy many other fields of photography. My favorite part about photography is helping my clients feel great in front of the camera. No one should ever feel unworthy to be in front of a camera lens so it’s my desire to show all my clients their unique beauty which each of us have. I cannot leave out the joy it brings my clients and myself when they leave their photo shoot feeling confident in themselves and in my work. As a former military wife for 20 years, I was able to live in numerous parts of the country meeting many wonderful people from all walks of life. This has equipped me to relate with each of my client’s unique needs and do what I do best which is capturing a piece of their story by creating art with every click of the shutter.
